Silverlight Toolkit is an add-on that contains samples and open source code. It helps you to develop Silverlight products better and faster. This is not an add-on for a browser rather than a pack with various development resources and items to help you to achieve what you want through Silverlight technology. You can check for the supported components using the following URL: http://silverlight.codeplex.com/releases/view/78435

If you can't uninstall Silverlight using the classic way through Control panel, then I recommend you run the official Microsoft Fix It tool developed exactly for this process. Visit the page linked below and download the Fix It tool. Launch it with administrator access and let it fix the problems. Restart the computer and then you should be able to remove Silverlight.
As an additional recommendation, re-install Silverlight then remove it. It should work in most of the cases, not only Silverlight but with other apps as well.
Your tablet needs to run Windows 7 OS for the Silverlight ActiveX to work properly on it. Please check your tablet for your operating system then browse the official website from the tablet's browser.
Microsoft Silverlight is not compatible with smart TVs. According to the information on Microsoft's website, the plug-in can be installed on the following platforms:
Windows - X86 or x64 (64-bit mode support for IE only) 1.6-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor with 512-MB of RAM
Macintosh (Intel-based) - Intel Core Duo 1.83-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor with 512-MB of RAM

I wonder if Silverlight software is available or compatible with an Android tablet or an IPad?

The developers of this software did not released an official version for an Android tablet or an IPad. You can check the official web-page for the compatible devices.
It's similar to what Adobe Flash does. Microsoft Silverlight is for creating and running rich Internet applications. It's a cross-browser, cross-platform implementation of .NET. You don't really need any tools. With almost any text editor you can build these applications. If you want to get more productivity there are a few tools that you can download, such as Silverlight Toolkit that provides more components for developers to use. If you're a regular user and are not interested in developing anything using Microsoft Silverlight, you will probably just be asked to install this plugin for your browser in order for these applications to work.
Dear Sir/Madam, I think there is something wrong with your software. Pls check whether your software has been installed properly on my computer: [email protected]. Everytime I click on VIEW SLIDE SHOW of the photos that I receive, a window pops up everytime saying pls install Microsoft Silverlight and when I again download, a box says: cannot be installed as already installed on your computer. Thanks for you attention. Regards Thakur Kishinchand Samtani

You may have MS Silverlight installed, or you didn't install it correctly. Got into your system Control Panel, find and click on the icon, "Programs and Features" and uninstall Silverlight completely. Next, make 100% certain that you have the newest version of Silverlight, from the Microsoft Download site, redownload that file, then reinstall Silverlight. After a quick restart/reboot (warm boot), see if it works without the error message. If not...
Download (again, if need be) the very latest version of whatever program your using for your "slide show." Uninstall the installed version, follow above instructions (i.e., check for leftovers wherever you may have installed the "slide show" utility, delete them and remove the folder, reinstall, reboot; see if that works, now.
