Silverlight is used to create an interface for Netflix videos stream the video content. This makes Silverlight a necessary install for Netflix users who watch its videos on a PC. In order to watch a selected video, you will need to install Microsoft Silverlight, which is completely free. However, currently Silverlight is being slowly replaced, as more and more technical issues arise.
